Windows to the Soul

One of the weird things about musical inspiration is when it hits you before you leave for work. Awkward timing, to say the least. So I quickly strummed out the basic chord progression and melody and decided to return to it after work.

After work it was time to flow in a more structured melody, a key change for the solo, a bass line, and drum loops.A track like this takes around 3-4 hours to put into presentable form, with about a third of that spent actually recording and the rest tweaking tones, mixing and mastering.

Of course now its way past my bedtime, so tomorrow will be sluggish at work. Five hours of sleep, here I come.
