An Aspiring Forty-Sixer...

24 down, 22 to go...

A few years ago, some friends convinced me to go climb a mountain up in the Adirondack mountains of northern New York state. While Pharoh mountain wasn’t one of the “high peaks”, the inspiring view from the top had an astounding effect on me. I was instantly hooked, and wanted more!

Ever since then, I try to get up to the Adirondacks to go hiking at least twice a year. One of my “life goals” is to summit the highest of the forty-six peaks in New York, (hopefully by age 46).

To accomplish this goal would make me a bona-fide Forty-Sixer; part of an elite club of individuals like me, who lust for that big payoff at the end of each tough ascent; the view from the top.

This web site describes my trips up there, and shows some photos of the views along the way.
