Gastrotography
18.08.2008
I just had a brilliant day in the studio shooting cheese and condiments for three makes of cheese for Ostecompagniet, a subdivision of Norwegian dairy giant Tine.
I very honoured and thrilled to have been given this job as I am generally not seen as a food photographer and even more so because this had already been shot by a tried and tested food shooter name and the client simply didn't like what they had.
The trick with the cheese was to align the wedges with typographic elements on the new package design. So while shooting on a wifi connection small jpg's are automatically transferred to the studio computer and instantly comped with the packaging graphics so the client can see how the image will work on the package already in the studio. This gives both me and the client the ability to do tweaks and adjustments until everything sits exactly as it should.
The new packaging will be in stores in about six months or so. I'll post some packshots when they're out.
