Beer Ice Cream

There is an incredible Ice Cream Bar in Nice in the south of France. They boast some impressive 97 flavors ranging from the ever so common vanilla and chocolate to the not so common black olive ice cream, tomato and basil and... yes, would you belive, Beer Ice Cream.
At first I was flabbergasted. A beer flavoured ice cream! But then again, when you offer black olive flavoured ice cream, tomato flavour and even avocado flavour. A beer flavour can hardly be odd.
On my first visit I just took a picture of the damn thing. Few days and few visits later I dared Neil to have one. And when he chickened out I went for it. Would you believe; it was actually really good. Rather sweet, slightly fruity but with a distinct beer tang to it without spoiling it.
They do make the most amazing liqourice flavoured ice cream. So amazing that I would gladly board a plane to Nice for a cone. And perhaps then try out a few of the other weird flavours...
