Our blog is our attempt to keep you updated with what is going on in our lives on at least two levels. First, on the ministerial level, we want to give you glimpses of our ministry in French Canada. We share this with you because we believe that effective ministry is not possible without concerted prayer. We also encourage you to spend part of your devotional time praying for fellow Christians ministering the Gospel on a foreign field.
Secondly, we want to stay in touch with friends and family who live in different contexts than our own. Though Québec borders the United States, the feeling of isolation is inescapable. Part of being a missionary in a foreign culture is simply striving to embrace life just as fully as those around us. We shop, drive, entertain, go to weddings, visit friends in the hospital, clean house, and do laundry like most people around us. Missionaries are not superhuman and other-worldly. And though we feel the urgency of the divine call each week, we marvel at how God is also found in the small stuff of life. We meet Him in big moments and in tiny ones.
Thank you for your interest. Thank you for your friendship. And if you think of it, thank you for praying for us.
