had a busy break. pretty much gutted the house to get it clean for the new baby..took all week. couldnt come in monday as i had to take maddy back and forth to the nursery.

 

got my sequence for my song done and im ready to go into the studio today to move my files to pro tools. should be a smooth ride. the song is called ‘dont let go’ - an old song of mine which goes all the way back to the late 80s! its been done several times over the years but this version could be the one. ive done all the backing at home in my nuendo workstation so all i really need to do at eastlake 1 is to put some vocals down.

 

session went fine. flew in the backing tracks on to pro tools and everything lined up perfectly. playback was problematic as various channels on the desk were not working properly i.e. breaking up.. nick had to constantly switch to different channels to see which one worked. did my vocals in the control room which was i think always a better option than being stuck in the vocal booth. got pretty much 3 takes of the lead vocal down plus most of the backing vocal. definitely enough to do some serious vocal comping when i edit it in the future.
