Ingredients
- ¼ cup shortening
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 lbs. stew beef cut in 1" cubes
- ½ teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 cup sliced onion
- 1 Dash cayenne pepper
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 ½ cups water
- ¾ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup water
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons flour
- 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
- 3 cups hot cooked noodles
Method
Melt shortening in large skillet. Add meat, onion and garlic; cook and stir until beat is brown and onion is tender.
Stir in ketchup, Worcester- shire sauce, sugar, salt, paprika, mustard, cayenne and 1 Ω cups water.
Cover; simmer 2 to 2 Ω hours. Blend flour and º cup water. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Add flour/water mixture.
Boil and stir 1 minute. Serve over noodles.
