I’ve decided, once again, to put together a place to toss photos in hopes that I’ll actually post things more often. We can all hope, right?

The bush beans (with the white flecks) are also looking really healthy. And all those leafy mounds are why we've stopped buying "industrial lettuce."

Originally shot 6/14/2008 12:13:18 PM

The highlights of the near box are two pole beans (lower left), the volunteer lettuce, a few bush beans and some more lettuce.
The far box is the squash and zucchini.
The box to the right — the first one we planted — has more bush beans, lettuce (baby romain, buttercrunch and salad bowl), scallions, garlic and cauliflower. What you can't see are the melon and tomato plants, which are big enough that I'm going to have to get out the support netting this weekend.

Originally shot 6/10/2008 8:45:46 PM

As the sun set, we found a honey-hoisin-ginger glaze for the chicken, tossed it on a bed of lettuces from our garden (baby romain, salad bowl and buttercrunch) and served it with a chardonnay-semillon blend with a touch of black currant syrup, known in some circles as "kir." "Sophisticated Sunday" we call it :)

Originally shot 6/8/2008 6:57:30 PM

Saves from having to cut them before tossing them on cereal. (Though actually, I think some of these made it on French toast.)

Originally shot 5/27/2008 7:37:26 AM
