Bobby was part of the of the 4th weekend over three years ago and has been an active member of the community since then. My best memory of Bobby was when he was the head of Team B during the 5th weekend. It was a super weekend and Bobby did a great job. He wasn’t feeling very well but soldiered on in his own quiet and unassuming way. The weekend ended without any hitch and during the final mass, I found out that Bobby was rushed to the hospital! After the last talk when everything was “over” he collapsed from exhaustion. I guess his sacrifice paid off because the participants of the 5th weekend turned out be active members of the community for a long time: Alma A, Marisue, Reenabags, Mia Diego, Oskie, Lizza, Lena, Marly, Maricel, Moose, Anna Ong, Tina P, Treen Relova, VT, Cres Yulo, Mike Yuzson and Luis Miguel Zuluaga. What a group!
Bobby runs an internet cafe CHAIN with some friends and is quite successful with his business. I enjoy listening in on his sharings because it affirms to me how well grounded he is in his faith. This is a reason why I think that Bobby is a pillar of our community and is destined for a greater role in our church (despite the fact that he always denies this). For the younger members of the community, try to spend some time with Bobby. There is a lot of humble wisdom in this man.
