Bubbles Bernardo
Bubbles was part of the 4th SYA weekend in March 2003 and was an active part of our community until she left for Michigan for her residency in medicine. In my birthday testimonial about her last year, I shared with you an email letter she wrote to me about her special someone named Drew Paulson who is an ER resident in the same hospital. She shared about all the special things that she likes about him and her hopes to build a more lasting relationship with him.
Well, Bubbles is getting MARRIED to Drew on March next year. She share with me that “he is truly THE man of my dreams, the one I’ve always prayed for, and truly worth the wait.” I am very happy for Bubbles. I think God has a way of gifting people to each other as long as they have faith in His plans for them. I was recently talking to a SYAer about stuff and one of the most common problems is finding the right man. You know how it is - you like someone who doesn’t seem to be serious with you, someone else likes you but you aren’t that interested in him. Well, I believe if you continue to be faithful with your mission to build God’s kingdom here on earth through the way you live your life, God will in time reward you with the person of your dreams.
Happy Birthday Bubbles and Congratulations. I hope your wedding is a Catholic wedding and that through your faith you will inspire Drew to love our community.
