Rio is my baby girl. She is the yin to my yang and the other half of my soul. I never thought this little girl would teach me so much. She is my agility buddy and my partner in all things new and exciting because I know she will always try for me. She is perfect and I never want to change her. At only 11lbs, Rio is the smallest dog in the house, but by far the one with the biggest attitude! She has a spirit that is unbreakable and unwavering. She is my little American Hero. No matter what I tell her I love her and I know she loves me all the time. We started a tradition in agility just before she got her first Excellent title of me telling her I love her before every run because good or bad, right or wrong she is my other half out there and I will always love every effort she gives me. Rio finished her Rally Novice title in the fall of 2008 and earned her Advanced and Excellent Rally titles in the spring and summer of 2010. I didn’t show her in Rally in between very much as we were training for agility. Valentine’s weekend 2010 was her first agility trial and since then she has earned 6 titles in AKC agility. Rio was bred in August 2009 to Tux, our friend Adrienne’s Champion male. This was her only litter so she can focus on her performance career. Rio is a total ham who loves the camera. You will notice that from her pictures. She is almost always smiling or ‘posing’ for me. No matter what Rio and I are in this for the duration. Our partnership is better than anything else!
