The Zen Bu Kan School Of Traditional Japanese Swordsmanship was founded in Salt Lake City Utah in 1998 by Jules Harris Sensei of the Ken Zen Dojo of New York City.
Zen Bu Kan is affiliated with Rocky Mountain Kendo Federation, Hideki Iwakabe Sensei (Iaido), Idaho Kendo, Robert Stroud Sensei (Kendo) and the All United States Kendo Federation.
All of our teachers and the school are supervised through these regional/national organizations. Accredited instructors and programs insure you get traditional training through an unbroken lineage that dates to 16th century Japan.
The philosophy of Zen Bu Kan is to promote the very best of traditional Samurai ethics and culture through the practice of Muso-Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido and modern Kendo.
