ZEN BU KAN
SCHOOL OF TRADITIONAL JAPANESE SWORDSMANSHIP

The Zen Bu Kan School Of Traditional Japanese Swordsmanship was founded in Salt Lake City Utah in 1998 by Jules Harris Sensei of the Ken Zen Dojo of New York City.

All of our teachers and the school are supervised through these regional/national organizations.  Accredited instructors and programs insure you get traditional training through an unbroken lineage that dates to 16th century Japan.

The philosophy of Zen Bu Kan is to promote the very best of traditional Samurai ethics and culture through the practice of Muso-Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido and modern Kendo.
There are many in the world who are eager to give advice.
There are few who feel glad for being given advice.
And there are still fewer who follow the given advice.
So take every opportunity to get familiar with the “way knowing” people and learn lessons from them.
