A group of homeschool families have been meeting at the home of Dr. John Ramsay and his wife, B Meyer, for the past year making plans to sponsor a training workshop on the weekend of

September 26-27, 2008.

The purpose of the workshop will be to show leaders, both parents and their mature children, how to use historic country dancing as an effective means of integrating social, physical, and spiritual aspects of life into a vibrant and joyful community event. 

We have had considerable experience in organizing classes, researching the history, creating costumes, and—usually after a series of classes—holding a dress-up ball.  This workshop will give you the tools and the contacts you need to develop your own country dance ball.  Get the workshop on YOUR  calendar, now, and begin putting together a group of like-minded colleagues to attend the workshop with you.  We recommend that groups of eight people from a community come together so that you will have a square set already in place to help when you get started.
