November 10th...In addition to recording our album two of us are currently going back to school for our M.B.A.  Yes, sex, drugs and M.B.A. is apparently the theme this year.  Anyways, despite having virtually no free time we are promising on keeping current with our updates.

In album news...we will be recording at Sonic Lounge Studio for a couple new songs.  This album is over 20 songs at this point so we will most likely have to make some difficult choices further down the road.  What do you guys/gals think?  Do you like albums that have 10 songs, double albums or somewhere in the middle?

October 8th...The Newport show was a blast last weekend.  We met a lot of great bands who we hope to play with again soon.  I added some new pic’s from that show in the “Photo’s” page.  Many thanks to everyone who came out to support us!

August 30th...Thanks to everyone who came out to the RCS Festival.  We had a great time playing with all the bands.  Mike did an awesome job putting the entire night together.  If you are looking to record be sure to check out RokCity Studios.

August 10th...Check out these exclusive new tracks from the upcoming Slang double-album titled “The Selected, The Rejected & The Resurrected.”  They are rough masters and NOT final versions, but enjoy!

August 9th...The Slang will be playing ‘RCS FEST’ this year at The Basement.  Click the poster below for more info.

July 5th...As we continue working on our next album...reviews for our previous record “The Big Get Even” EP are still coming in.  Check it out below!

The Slang - The Big Get Even - CD
(Champion of the Arts) These guys play decent college rock, as we called it back in the day. Just catchy rock that isn't too hard, lacks pretense and is just plain fun for when you need a break from the books. I could see these guys playing at about any campus pub or house party. The Slang's singer has a friendly, unique voice that plays great to their style and really sets them apart from other bands I've heard lately. I think if they were playing locally I'd go see them, maybe you should if they're in your area.

June 21st...We are hard at work on our next full-length album.  More details will be coming soon, but I think people will really be into the scope of the album and the different approach we are taking.

April 26th...I’ve posted some new pic’s and video’s from our show at ‘The Lot’ this past Saturday.

Also, I went into the studio yesterday to record guitars for our upcoming full-length album.  We tracked drums and guitars for six songs at “Rokcity Studio’ and we are now working on completing those songs while we begin pre-production on a new batch of songs.  It’s a hectic time, but it’s nice to be working on finishing our full-length album.
