The U.S. Congress

Earlier this week, there was a cozy little “get together” held at the Democratic Party National Committee headquarters in Washington D.C. The party was put together by Representatives Dingell (D) Michigan, and Rahall (D) West Virginia. The “honored guests” were 23 newly elected Democratic Representatives to the House of Representatives.

The event was billed as a Debt Retirement Event. Lobbyists were invited to the event and encouraged to donate “campaign contributions” to these freshmen congressmen to help them to “retire their debt”. Donations of from $2,500 to $20,000 were suggested. These Democrats have not been sworn in yet and have not even met most of their new playmates and they are already taking money from lobbyists two months before being sworn in.

The voters re-elected 398 lawmakers from both parties back into the House Of Representatives in this last election. The voters have demonstrated that they don’t care that “their” congressmen work for the special interests and NOT for their constituents. It will be business as usual in the 111th Congress.
