Bullock Lake farm is a spectacular twenty three acre lakeside property located a short distance from the village of Ganges. It is the perfect sanctuary for those hoping to escape the pressures of the city life, strengthen family ties or rekindle romance.
The guest cottage is a beautifully appointed and fully equipped two bedroom bed and breakfast. The cabin is sited among magnificent trees, imported to the island in the late 1800’s by Henry Bullock.
Breakfast provisions, including fresh farm eggs and home made bread and preserves are supplied daily
Our animals, sheep, goats and llamas are people friendly and guests are free to walk anywhere on the farm. A private lane, bordered by trees, leads down to the lake, where a canoe awaits your arrival.
All of the farm animals are kept for the fibre that they produce and there is a wool shop on the farm where the various products can be seen.
The farm is open to guests and visitors year round.
"What a lovely retreat! ......We are leaving feeling very satisfied and pampered!"
Bullock Lake Farm 1916 as seen on the back of the Salt Spring Island one dollar bill. Workers gather hay where now the guest cottage and tennis courts stand. Yes it’s real money!

As of the end of June 2009 Dan and Susan Hunt will be taking over ownership of Bullock Lake Farm.
The guest cottage and farm will continue to operate as they have for the past 20 years under our ownership. All of the animals that many of you have come to know will be allowed to live out their natural lives on the farm. Dan and Susan are looking forward to the challenges and rewards of running the farm.
We will not be moving from the island and will be regular visitors and will continue to help with the farm when needed.
Thank you to all of the regular guests and visitors who we have come to know so well over the years.
New contact information will be published on this site as soon as possible.
John and Iris.
