Mo’s alarm clock

Each day we were awakened to the strains of ‘Libiamo” from Verdi’s La Traviata. We were a diverse  bunch of people who had met on February 14, 2007 in the Miami airport and flew to Manaus in Brazil to experience an adventure on the Amazon and its tributaries. For nine days we lived and breathed the life on and around the Rios Solimões and Negro visiting the jungle, the flooded channels , the city of Manaus and several small villages .  By the end new friendships had been forged and countless memories indelibly etched into each traveler’s mind.
