it was a great trip once we got there! We stayed at Jon and Ashley Nolan’s, some good friends from our old small group. Reese and Marshall played their hearts out despite the cold weather! We went to a thanksgiving party of a good friend Katie Douglas and reese’s buddy emma kate! We got to see lots of old friends and enjoy some fun with them! The kids played a lot outside and we had a good time taking them to kangazoom and the mall playground! Jon deserves a gold medal for all the babysitting of 3 kids he did so Ash and I could have some girls nights! We shopped, went to dinner, saw a movie, got coffee, did quiet times, and got manicures! It was lots of fun! And we got to go visit our old church (buckhead church, a campus of north point) so that was really great to go back too.
It was weird though how much it didn’t feel like home anymore. I knew my way around still, i was quickly reminded of the traffic, and remembered everything, it just didnt feel like it was home. Really strange feeling! It was a good reminder that we always think we know the way our lives should pan out but when God intervenes and “messes up” our plans, you can find yourself truly in the middle of his will. I am so thankful God doesn’t trust my shortsighted plans and continuously blows me away with where he takes me. I am so glad atlanta was a huge chapter in my life and i am so glad God has brought our family here.
sorry i got on a tangent. Anyway, we had fun in atl. It was a long drive but well worth the trip. Now we are back. Wheeler turned 8 months old today. John took the day off and we hung together all day that was so fun. Our sweet sitter Abby came over so John and I could have a fun afternoon date which was so wonderful! I am so in love with that man! I was so glad to be back with him! Speaking of, he is totally enthralled in Monday night football so i am in the midst of 3 loads of laundry, unpacking sadly from 2 trips, and cleaning up for my fam to come in town for turkey day!
