Walking is on roads and paths with one or two good climbs.

Entrance to the park is located at the intersection of S 9th Street and E High Street

If you approach Winterset on Highway 92, turn south (left) on N 10th Street and follow it to a t-intersection at East Court. Turn west (right) one block and then south (left) on South 9th Street.

If you approach Winterset from the north on Highway 169, go past the square three blocks and turn east (left) onto High Street.
