Originally, from New Jersey, Joey moved to New York City to attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After graduating, he performed in numerous plays around the country. Some of these regional theatre credits include: Rumors, Come Blow Your Horn and Lend Me a Tenor. Joey then traveled back to his home in New York City to play Eight different characters in the Dylan Thomas classic, Under Milkwood directed by Moni Yakim. Other New York Theatre credits include: “Stephano” in The Tempest and "Tiger Brown" in the Off-Broadway production of The Threepenny Opera at the Bowrie Lane Theater. Film credits include: the lead character "Evan" in Spring First and the lead character “Wes” in the independent feature film Saturday Morning with Louis Mandylor, Victor Raider-Wexler and George Wendt, currently available on Netflix and coming soon to a Blockbuster near you. In September 2005, Joey wrote, directed, and starred in a his first short film, Love, with Kristina Klebe. In January 2006, Joey performed with Dennis Farina and Jesse L. Martin in an episode of Law and Order. In August 2006, Joey wrote and performed in a very successful Off-Broadway run, of his original one-man show, "Joe Piscopo's Son." In February 2007, he performed in the original Off-Broadway comedy, "Billboard." In May 2007, Joey finished a critically acclaimed run of Bertol Brecht's "Happy End." In July, he attended a screening of Love and Saturday Morning at the Montclair Film Festival. Last fall, Joey appeared in a critically and financially successful run of “Over the River and Through the Woods,” at the John W. Engeman Theater. Most recently, Joey formed the sketch comedy group, “The Gee Company.” Look for a new sketch every month!
