Current Sermon Series ---  Sermon on the Mount

When I think of what it means to be a good pastor, I must consider several things.  First, a good pastor and a good preacher are two different things.  Hopefully, a good pastor will preach well.  But, just because you can preach doesn’t always make you a good pastor.

The word “pastor” literally means shepherd.  What does a shepherd do?  He takes care of the sheep.  He watches over his flock and is always ready to protect and provide for them.  This means that a pastor is always on call.  he should always be ready to protect, provide and take care of his flock.

Jesus Christ is the Great Shepherd.  We trust that He provides and protects us.  Even better, He loves us and keeps all of His promises.

Part of shepherding God’s people means that we must be fed well.  I believe that the greatest sermons are expository.

Come join us on Sunday mornings as we get a glimpse into the greatest sermon ever preached.  It has been studies for centuries by all kinds of different people from different cultures.  Be here for this look into Jesus’ teachings to His disciples:  The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7).

I pray God’s richest blessings on you as you seek to serve Him!
