                                Church Media
                            Consulting & Support
Media is the stain-glass windows of this generation. We use it to tell the stories of our faith in a relevant manner. 21st Century Parables seeks to support churches in utilizing media in their church and services. The difference with 21st Century Parables is that it’s not just a list of great technology, but it’s how to make it work in your service from a Pastor’s point of view. I’m currently the Sr. Pastor of a church in eastern Canada and utilize media weekly in our services. I help provided media throughout the region in Youth Rallies, Camps, Conferences and Conventions. If you want more than what’s hot on the tech side, but how it can truly work in your church, - please give me an email or call.

Churches everywhere are installing media systems in worship, only to wake up and realize they've got to put something up there every week. Usually, they end up with a "multi-media" model that looks a lot like a 90s style boardroom presentation. If this sounds familiar, or could, then we can help. Come spend a day with us and learn about the interface of media in the message and authentic worship.
If your church is looking into added media with your ministries – please contact us for help.

Use what works
For many churches, just getting away from a overhead is a big plus! If you're church is looking at installing a projection system, here's a few things to consider.
1) View worship tech as a ministry not just a capital expense.
2) Get your team involved in the process. Don't just run out and get equipment that someone else suggested. Get the people who are gonna run it involved - build ownership.
3) Plan on updating your equipment at least 3-5 years. Build a budget that stores funds toward updating your equipment. A number of churches I've worked with purchased their first systems through one individuals donation - try to see if a hand full of individuals would be willing to make smaller donations quarterly towards a fund for media and tech.
4) Maximize your program. As much as I would love more churches to be using Media Shout - because I believe it works very well - if all you're looking at is lyrics, with little desire to change for a couple years, stick with PowerPoint or Keynote. There's a lot you can still do with those programs. Media Shout - like other worship programs is made for live changes and multiple media styles in one presentation.
