The Triathlon

 

The Triathlon is a 15-month activity consisting of


    EVENT 1: A June workshop (12 days) where teachers, coached by master teachers selected by Advanced Placement Strategies, will hone their skills demonstrating scientific principles to rising 9th graders.


    EVENT 2: A series of monthly symposia and inservices during the school year where cutting edge science will be presented by UT Southwestern faculty, new teaching tools will be introduced, and lab skills demonstrated and practiced.


    EVENT 3:  An 8-week summer research program where teachers are matched with UT Southwestern basic and clinical scientists and perform a project at the lab bench.
