With his wife and two sons, Joel Friederich has made his home in northwestern Wisconsin, St. Louis, and Tokyo, Japan.  His poems have appeared in The Paris Review, Witness, Prairie Schooner, Sou'wester, and other literary journals.  He received an MFA from the University of Montana and teaches at the University of Wisconsin-Barron County.
