“Hi Joe,
I'd just like to say thank you very much for an excellent training camp.
I had a brilliant week and learnt a lot.
I'd love a calender from you - how do I go about paying you for this?
I'll definitely be back next year!
Take care and have a good race season.”

“Just a quick email to thank you for a excellent week at CLS. It was a valuable week from an actual training and information point-of-view, and it was good to spend some time with others just training and relaxing - have got it pencilled into our diary for next year! I hope the second week went well for you”

“Thanks very much to you both for a fantastic week in the sun. I loved the warm weather training camp with you guys and learned a lot.
I thought the level of training and instruction was pitched just right. Now I am looking forward to London Marathon on April 23 and IM Switzerland on July 2.
Thanks again.
See you soon”

“I just felt i wanted to write and thank you soooo much for such an amazing week last week. as i said to Will on wednesday morning it really made the whole JBST thing come together - I do now really understand and appreciate what its all for and why we are doing things that sometimes don't necessarily seem a) adequate b)necessary c)hard enough .
The extras such as nutritional advice, bike handling skills, the illustration by experience of the differences of running in the 3 different zones, moral and motivational support were fantastic.
I have been training with Will now for 8 months - i have already achieved things that i didnt believe possible, I have watched JBST from afar since my very first tri 5 years ago, i read all the articles in cycling plus and 220- didnt think they applied to me - i didnt feel worthy as an athlete of being a part of it all - but you guys really helped me to participate at my level, your support (both moral and physical ) and encouragement to someone who, lets face it, is never going to be an age group champion at anything, was much, much appreciated.
Being in a group of like minded people for a week was extraordinary - some of the more experienced high flying athletes were generous with their experiences, advice and support too. We both feel that we have been kicked out of the winter doldrums - and feel motivated and positive about the coming months training and this seasons racing.
Thanks to you both so much (please also thank Sharon- her encouragement and moral support were invaluable as well).
Please put Hamish and I down for next year, week 2 (as long as the dates are the same). I have a mountain climb to improve on!!!
All the best”

“Thanks v much for a really enjoyable camp - I learnt a lot and enjoyed the rides even though I didn't quite make it up Femes in one go! I am currently losing weight in order to get up it next time! Bring it on in 2007...
Many thanks”

“Glad to see you home safe too.
I know I said thanks to you both already but thanks again!
It was a totally inspirational week for me, I felt I learnt so much and enjoyed being part of such a fun group of people.
I have to say, my early morning run today was a little on the chilly side!
Thank you for the slides, I do not seem to be able to open it though!
Will definitely be there next year!
Best regards”

“Hope the weather was kind for the second week. Just to say a big thanks from both Kyle and me for a fantastic week. We had a great time and learnt loads. Just let us know when we can book for 2007 and we'll be there! We actually decided to sneak in another week in Lanzarote at the end of May...
Just FYI, I decided yesterday to try the "Aero mile" vs "mile at top of zone 1" test back in the UK where my HR would definitely not be influenced by the heat - a little scientific experiment with n=1!
In Lanzarote, I did 8.27 and 8.11. We can discount the 8.11 as I sprinted for the line (no-one said I'm very bright) but 8.27 is my half-marathon pace from this time last year so sustainable at least. I got the same result here in UK for a mile of nose-breathing, with av HR of 152. I do my Run-loop test as a mile at the top of Zone 1, which is 147 for me, and that came out at 10.14, so a fair difference. Having looked at the Trimp calculator, it does say my calculated HR aero max is 152, which seems to hold true. For me those extra 5 beats make over a minute of difference - not that I'm complaining; when I first started with Will I was only doing 11.30min for top of Zone 1, so a drop of 1min15 in 5 months of smart training. And I no longer have legs that are constantly aching after doing hard training day after day.
Enough waffle. Thanks again for a great time. Will see you both at the TCR show if you're there.
Regards”
Penny Kyle
