Location Recording and Interview with Christopher Frommen

Christopher Frommen owns and runs one of the very finest European classical music record labels that also specializes in recording pipe organs. The business was started in 1997 and it flourishes today. A superb organist who trained in recording engineering in the Conservatory in Düsseldorf he is now entirely devoted to producing technically thrilling and fascinating recordings, now in high definition Surround Sound. Chris doesn’t make vanity CDs, he picks organists who are true artists who are able to say something meaningful about the compositions they play. Also he has a great love of excellent pipe organs and seeks out instruments that people need to know about. Each one of his Cds is like a Fabergé Easter Egg. I highly recommend his CDs to you.

This Podcast was recorded partly on location in the sacristy at St. Ouen in Rouen, France – which doubled as a control room – on May 5, 2006 and the interview was filmed in his studio in Juechen, Germany on May 8, 2006.
