This song was written a couple years ago when I realized that sometimes in life all you have when you turn around is each other. And having moved a little, you lose the luxury of old friends to go to but have the at times difficult task of leaning on the one you should. I think this song is about cleaving.
Here are the lyrics:
I close my mouth and I hold my tongue
When you breathe out the words won’t come
I see the thoughts in your eyes
We two have only begun this journey side by side
This two in one
I’m going out there but not alone
So many things to fear but with you I’m home
These waters will not quench I only thirst for more
I’m sick with love when love’s the cure
You take the words from my mouth
And mold them into a sigh
Relief there in your arms
An ocean that will not run dry
We’re going out there but not alone
So many things to fear but we can go home
