You Watch Me

This song, I don’t think, is done, but I feel done with it for now because I don’t want to mess with it anymore! Grrr! Maybe in a month or two I will remix and junk and redo some of the recordings but for now at least you can get the gist of the song!

This song is almost straight from the Psalms (“If I rise on the wings of the dawn...”---except I did not use that lyric). I wanted to provide the haunting aspect of God---how scary He really can be by the fact that He is always watching, always everywhere, and one can not hide from Him.

Here are the lyrics:

You know my path and my lying down
You know all my ways, You watch me
Before a word was on my tongue
Before I was, You saw me, You saw me

Where can I go from Your Presence?
You’re in the deep and in the air
Where can I flee from the Eyes that see me?
---Not adrift or asleep, but everywhere, You’re everywhere

Oh....

You saw my frame, unformed and frail
My inward part, You weaved me
Before I saw light, You knew my name
And all the days before me, before me

Where can I go from Your Presence?
You’re in the deep and in the air
Where can I flee from the Eyes that see me?
---Not adrift or asleep, but everywhere, You’re everywhere
You’re everywhere
You’re everywhere

Where can I go from Your Presence, You’re in the deep and in the air...

Where can I flee from the Eyes that see me, not adrift or asleep but everywhere....
