I wrote this song while on my way to the grocery store. I hummed the tune to myself during my shopping experience so I would not lose it. I originally wanted to do this song acapella, but it just wasn’t working out, nor was it sounding very good. The tune has too many awkward pauses. So, I just thought about the song some and a whole orchestration threw itself into my head. There are a huge amount of different sounds. Somehow they all go together. When the orchestration presented itself I wanted my Oldest son to play piano but he was too nervous. I just played the dang thing. Me? Playing piano? Go figure.

And that picture of me is sort of weird. Don’t focus on that. Listen to the song, dang it.

Here are the lyrics:

Light of the world
Light of life
Scatter the darkness
Scatter the night
(2x)

Shine wherever we are
Shine wherever we are
Shine wherever we are

Star of the morning
Son of the Light
Disperse the blackness
Restore our sight

Shine wherever we are
Shine wherever we are
Shine wherever we are

Light of the world
Light of life....
