april 2008 may 2009 rebreather diving is dangerous kiss style rebreathers have not killed any diver so far (at the time I started this web) AS a consequence we decided to build a HOME MADE kiss style rebreather those rebreathers were built using a dräger dolphin breathing loop base this unit was designed and built by three friends : -Hugues Mismaque space technician , mad of thechnology and machining, old diver , with whom I started home building things at the age of 14 . -Denis pogarieloff space engineer as found of garage home building as Hugues, denis likes well designed and built technical projets, old motor biker and kiss style rebreather diver -Myself, jean michel Urbani, lawyer, also amateur of technology notably electronics, mad of diving ....27 years of diving...already... This rebrreather was born because we needed to dive ccr with simpler and more reliable tools then the stock market ones available at the at the time I started rebreather diving back in 2000 as far as I remember . At this time Gordon smith had not started selling his kiss worldwilde and it was not available in france Our country . Denis and I both rapidly hit the original dolphin limitations (especialy the dräger oxygauge) and decided at first to built a decent ppo2 meter running 3 sensors with loud audible alarms. After that we kept on modifiying the rebreather according to our own needs . At the time we only have kept the Drager canister, The drager adv, the Drager counterlungs and their p-ports connectors . but we have to thank Dräger for having made the dolphin, we kept the architecture and ligthness of this rebreather . Of course we don’t claim or even think that our “solutions” are the ultimate ones, we only display our home made gear so that other home builders or future home builders can see our parts. We will only display home made parts execpt the fantastic golem Bov and the Meg DSV. (those items are so beautiful that we could not resist showing them) As a matter of fact there is nothing more boring then the amateur rebreather diver’s webs where guys are displaying the toys they have recently bougth . there is also nothing more boring then the hundreds amateur sites where young ccr diver’s are explainning their vision, their philosophy, what should be done or not be done .. bla bla bla as we say in French . loads of divers and especialy rebreather divers consider themselves as heros , and the internet is an endless source of hasoles hero rebreatherdivers .... So we will try not to be boring, if we are sorry about that, just switch to an other site and tell us so that we change things . you will find nothing revolutionnary here , just basic stuff made at home, no heros, no story of deep diving, just an invitation to get into the homemade world viewing our pages .
