“...if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it’” Malachi 3:10b

The week of September 10th was an amazing week! The Lord God moved in powerful ways and truly poured out numerous blessings! We still are overwhelmed and amazed at His goodness and love.

We shared with you in our last blog entry about the story of the two farmers who needed rain. They both prayed but only one of them prepared for the rain and received it.
All of you, our precious partners, have been preparing for rain (or blessings in this case) to fall on our ministry. The Lord truly answered all of our prayers last Friday when He made it pour! :-) As a result of your faith-filled prayers, generous giving, and God’s blessing, our annual support is now at 103%!!!! Praise the Lord! The report from the churches in Maryland and Virginia put the necessary goal over the top! And the additional blessing was that this news was received exactly a year to the day that we were commissioned as missionaries at our annual conference! God is so good--in all ways!!
We wish to thank you, our partners, for all your support and encouragement these past few months. We could not have made this journey or continue on without you!
Now as we look ahead, we only lack $14,000 in start-up funds to be given the green light to be released to the field. This means that the purchase of our tickets and the scheduling of our departure date for Liberia cannot happen until these funds are in. Therefore, those of you who have pledged to give to our annual support, we ask that you begin to give towards those pledges as soon as possible. For those of you who have been giving already, may God bless your faithfulness and compassionate hearts.
It is with heart-felt thanks that we offer a pray of blessing for all of you who have joined us as our partners. It is because of your generosity and kindness for the needy in Liberia that we are able to answer God’s call to serve Him there.

            Almost there,
                    John & Melinda
