“I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to Christ will certainly not lose his reward.” Mark 9:41

The Liberian women in the above picture remind us that both physical and spiritual water are blessings from the Lord. We need both types of water to live--physical water to keep our bodies healthy and spiritual water to keep our souls healthy.
On Sunday, January 7th, the Lord refreshed our souls with His living water flowing from the hearts of many of His people. Our church family at Cornerstone Free Methodist Church in Akron responded greatly to the gentle whispers of the Holy Spirit and many decided to take a giant leap of faith and partner with Jesus as they saw the world through His eyes. These new partners with their world vision are reaching out in love to the people of Liberia.
Thanks to the faithfulness and generosity of our fellow believers and those who have already responded to God’s call to partner with us in taking His Love and Light to the people of Liberia, our prayer and financial support has taken a HUGE leap. As a result, we currently have 162 prayer partners (or 54% of our needed 300), $5994 in start-up costs raised (or 13.94% of the needed $58,885), and $14, 285 of our annual support (or 17.86% of the needed $88,000) raised. We rejoice and stand amazed at the movement of God’s Holy Spirit and the obedience of His people.
We want you to know that we are overcome with gratitude to the Lord and to you. Thank you for giving a cup of cold water in His name to us and the people of Liberia. And thank you for helping to make this journey to Liberia closer to becoming a reality.
As we continue to step out in faith, we’d like our army of prayer partners to add the following requests to their prayers (and anything else the Lord lays on your heart for us and the Liberian people):
*Pray that God will continue to raise up those who will partner with us on our journey to minister to the people of Liberia.
*Pray for God to give us wisdom and understanding, to enable us to honor Him in all we do, to help us bear fruit for His kingdom, and to grant us strength, persistence, and patience.
*Pray for good health and safety as we travel across Ohio to share our call to Liberia with our extended church family.
*Pray for God to prepare the hearts of the people in Liberia to be open to hear and receive His Salvation.
*Pray for the spiritual growth, health and protection of our families and us while we are apart.

Again, thank you to all our partners. We look forward to seeing what God has in store for us in the future.
    Until next month................................

                        Blessings,
                            John & Melinda
