Attleboro Relay Team are 12 and under Age Group Champions at B.A.A Relay Challenge!
Attleboro Relay team had a great time in Boston by competing in B.A.A Relay Challenge with other local relay teams in Massachusetts.
First, they started their training at Balfour Park by running in relay races and just having a lot of fun with their team mates. They picked up their Training and Race Shirts! All of the athletes were ready and excited to compete in Boston with other local teams.
On Saturday morning, the team took a fun train ride to Boston to get ready for their race by getting their bib numbers and talking to their team mates.
Once they arrived in Boston, the team went to their team section on Boylston Street and watching other teams competing and cheering on Attleboro team! The very first race of the day for the Attleboro team, the team already became champions by winning and broke a new record for 12 and under age group race. That was a great start for Attleboro Team. Every and single athlete on the Attleboro Team are champions. Attleboro team had other great races and the athletes had a lot of fun to compete with other local teams.
At the end of the event, there was All-Star race, which has two athletes from each local team to compete with Olympians. All of the athletes were looking forward to watch this exciting race with Olympians and their teammates.
After the races were over, they had a lunch with Olympians. Carrie Tollefson told all of the young athletes that she saw a lot of respect from the team mates from all of the teams. She gave advice to all of the athletes about giving support to your teammates.
Attleboro Team had a great day in Boston by running on Boylston Street, where is all Boston Marathon action takes place. All of the athletes had a chance to run in Boston and become a champion!
