Winter has been, well, winter here in Chicago over the last couple of months. Plenty of snow, cold weather, and the occasional sunny day. How you deal with it is to take a mid-winter break to Florida to visit, swim, and go to the beach. See the following link to see how much fun was had by all. Especially Happy Birthday wishes to Great Grandma Rita and Theresa, who both look phenomenal at 29.
Stacy and Beth’s Pilates studi0 (www.pilatesofelmhurst.com) opened on February 1st to a raging snowstorm and a foot of snow- a harbinger of good things to come, no doubt. We’ll have pictures of the studio up shortly.
In the fall. we were busy playing soccer with Sydney’s team, The Green Hornets. The Green Hornets went undefeated in a very tough 6 year old girls soccer division, led by Sydney, Mikaela, Ari and Alison. Sydney also started Kindergarten and has a teacher named Mrs. Reher who she likes very much. Sydney’s favorite things about Kindergarten are making crafts, reading stories, and going to the school library. Sydney recently celebrated her 6th Birthday with 8 of her closest friends at Build a Bear Workshop.
Will has been busy enjoying 2nd Grade. He has the same teacher, Mrs. Naatz, who he had in 1st Grade. Will likes her and says that she’s very nice and a really good teacher. His Mom and Dad have been very happy with how much he’s learning and the grades he’s bringing home. He turned 8 in September, and has grown nearly 3 inches in the last year! Will still loves reading, spends a lot of time with his friends, playing video games, and board games. Will joined Indian Guides in the fall and we’ve had fun meeting other tribe members and going to some of the Indian Guide activities. We will be going on a Winter camp out in February.
I’ve been busy working, coaching and hanging with the family. Sometimes it seems like someone hit the fast forward button on my life-though it beats someone hitting the Stop, or worse yet, Delete button!. Had a great trip this fall to visit the Campbell’s home in Seattle. Many thanks to Matt for making it such an awesome weekend. Looking forward to a ski trip with the college buddies in February, and a West Coast trip with the family in the summer.
