Casa Hogar is an orphanage located in Barinas, Venezuela.  it is the home to 30-50 girls who either don’t have parents or their parents can’t take care of them or won’t take care of them.  The orphanage is run by a religious order of sisters dedicated to the charisms of Santa Mariana Mercedes Jesus.  The sisters struggle to feed, cloth and house these abandoned girls.  While the orphanage is partially funded by the government, the sisters are hard pressed to put food on the girl’s table and cloth them.

  2. These beautiful and abandoned girls have been denied the most basic of all human conditions, a parent’s love.

The Girls of Casa Hogar

Casa Hogar of Iowa Inc. is a non profit corporation which is dedicated to aiding and supporting the orphans in South America under the care of the Marinita Sisters particularly the Girls Casa Hogar in Barinas, Venezuela and to assist the Marinitta Sisters in their mission in caring form the least of God’s Kingdom, namely by striving to provide orphans dignity, security, love and basic human rights.

Casa Hogar of Iowa will do that by providing financial, personal and emotional support in order to help orphans find their God given dignity and break the cycle of poverty and abandonment from their lives.
