Aleatoric Video evolved from a 2005 collaborative installation titled “Aleatoric Theatre” that was created with artists Tom Oberg and Chris Longwell during the Elmira Open Studio Arts Tour. Similar to Aleatoric Theatre, Aleatoric Video was created by remixing still, audio and video files submitted by the public. These eight videos express varied feelings about living in the Southern Tier. A ninth video is a scrolling catalog of submissions by the public, unaltered by remixing.
 
Aleatoric Video is partially funded through the Arts of the Southern Finger Lakes Artist Crossroads Decentralization Grant.
