In the first few weeks of Illustration I, students drew from life rather than referencing photographs or drawing solely from the imagination. Using the skeleton, a nude model, and a costumed model, students loosened up by attempting gesture, contour and blind contour drawings. Results are displayed here as “works in progress.” Student skills in drawing continue to improve each week.
