Sometimes people run for School Board because things are a mess and they want to try to straighten them out.

In District 742, this is not one of those times.

The School Board in recent years has been a model of effectiveness.  The public’s favorable perception of the District is a testimony to the Board’s civility and transparency.

I am running for the District 742 School Board in 2008 because I believe I will add something good to what is already good.

Everyone in the community has a stake in the excellence of our schools, but those of us who have kids currently enrolled see the issues and opportunities up especially close and especially personal.  My three children are at Madison Elementary School.  I will add a parent’s perspective to the Board’s deliberations and decisions.
