The SoMa Leadership Council is a monthly gathering of those who care about the past, present and future of South of Market. A broad spectrum of the community – residents, housing activists, small business owners, developers, arts and entertainment advocates – are all active participants. The focus is on good planning and good government.

The SoMa Leadership Council played a significant role in resolving the issues surrounding live/work development, was instrumental in the formation of the San Francisco Entertainment Commission, has supported numerous quality of life initiatives and inspired the legislation that created the Western SoMa Citizens Planning Task Force.

Everyone who is committed to ensuring that South of Market remains a compassionate, diverse, vibrant and complete neighborhood is welcome to be part of the SoMa Leadership Council.
