Escapes ... in My Own Backyard
Each of the images in this collection is a celebration of the simple pleasures I find each day - in the small back yard between my house and my studio in East Hill.
The medium is Digital Photography. The process is a technique I have devised by which I convert parts of the image to Black & White while retaining color selectively.
I’ve created each of these images in a 8x10 format that can be framed without the need for a matte. In fact, the flowers, as you’ll see, actually seem to flow outside the traditional frame and spill over the Black matte. That’s why I’ve called this collection “Escapes.”
