Jim McConlogue lives in Encinitas, California with his wife and three children. He paints with oil, both in plein-air and out of his home studio. Jim has studied life drawing, painting and illustration through the Corcoran School of Art and U.C.S.D. extension courses, The Athenaeum School of the Arts, St. Mary’s College, and a number of plein-air workshops. He is a past artist member of the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, and he was the featured artist in an edition of Decor & Style Magazine. In addition, one of his paintings of Torrey Pines is featured in the book, "Land of Sunlight - Contemporary Paintings of San Diego County" by James Lightner.

Jim is currently working on a number of commissioned paintings, and his original oils are being shown at the Leucadia Art Gallery and Corner Frame Shop in Leucadia, CA, the Contemporary Fine Arts Gallery in La Jolla, CA and the R.E. Welch Gallery in Palm Desert, CA. He is also represented by J.G. Editions Fine Art Dealers who sell his large scale Giclée prints and original oils.

His work can be shown by appointment at his home studio, or a catalog of available paintings and Giclée prints can be sent via e-mail. Jim is available on a commission basis to paint images specifically designed for your home or office.
