From this spacecraft, Ed White performed Americas first spacewalk. The display formerly displayed Ed White's and Jim McDivitt's spacesuits. These have been removed to storage for conservation purposes. The hatch over McDivitt's ejection seat is currently at the Cradle of Aviation Museum.
