Loading Gemini 3 from Image File
Formerly hanging from the ceiling, Molly Brown is now in a protective enclosure designed by the Cosmosphere.

This spacecraft was the first of the Gemini manned missions.  Gus Grissom and John Young pioneered the way for nine more flights. Is has the only official name of the Gemini series.  Grissom originally wanted "Wapasha", the Native American tribe from which we get the Wabash River.  It was worried that connotations to the Wabash Cannonball might be made.  NASA also balked at "Molly Brown" until they heard the alternative: "Titanic".

"Here's a shot of GT-3 from Mitchell, Indiana. The vehicle was difficult to shoot because of the way it is presented. You can't get far enough away for an overview even with a wide angle lens."
