DCP_3559.JPG This command module flew to the moon in April 1972 with John Young, Charles Duke, and Ken Mattingly aboard. The handholds were used by Mattingly during his deep space walk to retrieve film canisters from the service module.  It is displayed with an Apollo Main Landing Parachute. Read the saga about the instrument panels at this story from collectSpace. It is currently located in the Davidson Center for Space Exploration alongside the restored Saturn V.
