The U.S. Space and Rocket Center has one of the largest collections of space artifacts in the world. Originating from an idea conceived by Saturn V designer Werner von Braun, the center was created to preserve and archive the results of engineering chalenges met and exceeded by the wrkers at Marshall Space Flight Center, which adjoins the center. The SRC is also the original home of Space Camp, where thousands young and old have lived out dreams of astronaut training.
