VIDEO SEGMENT DESCRIPTIONS

The Love Story/Photo Montage
This is an interview of the couple in a romantic setting. Home video footage can also be incorporated into this segment. Also included is a photo montage of up to 50 photographs set to music in the video.

Preparation
This segment documents the wedding day preparations of the bride and groom. Depending on the preparation location, coverage begins about 90 minutes before the bride’s pre-ceremony photos are taken. Note: This segment generally has some of the most emotionally moving content in the entire video.

Ceremony
To provide professional coverage, all ceremonies are recorded with three discretely placed cameras (one manned, two unmanned). Several microphones are used to clearly record the wedding official, the vows and even readers. Lights are never used to record the ceremony.

Formals
This is a short video segment that uses a freeze-frame technique to highlight the antics and emotions of the formal photography session between the ceremony and the reception. Note: I do not provide photographic services, but I can provide referrals upon request.

Reception
Every event in the reception is covered, along with close-up shots of the decorations, the cake and the gift table. I coordinate with the DJ or band in order to keep track of upcoming events. Small on-camera lights are only used when the lighting is dim. In order to allow the guests to enjoy the reception without interruption guest interviews will not be conducted (unless specifically requested by the couple).

Highlights
This is a four-minute movie-style musical montage of the best clips of the video set to music. Slow motion and other editing techniques are used to bring out the emotions of the special day. Note: Brides have said that this segment is their favorite, and that they watch it often.

iWedding
If you have a video-enabled iPod®, then I can convert your entire wedding video to the iPod® format. You will be able to have your wedding video with you wherever you go, ready to show it off to all your friends and family.

Couple’s Commentary
Do you like listening to the director’s commentary on Hollywood DVD’s? You can have the same commentary on your wedding video just like the pros. I will edit and deliver your wedding video. Then, after you’ve watched it a few times, you’ll cuddle up on the couch with your spouse and record your comments while the day’s events are still fresh in your mind. I will then add your comments to your wedding DVD as an additional soundtrack so that you can watch your wedding video with or without your comments. To your children, this insight into your wedding day will be priceless.

Same Day Edit
To bring you the ultimate reception experience, I will shoot, edit and project your wedding day footage in the form of a music video – all on your wedding day. Imagine sitting at your head table while watching a musical montage of your walk down the aisle and the exchange of your vows on a large screen. You and your guests will not merely be entertained; you will be powerfully moved. And, if you order the Love Story segment it can be shown at the reception as part of the Same Day Edit presentation at no extra charge. Note: The price for the Same Day Edit includes the rental of a projector and screen. Also, in order for me to edit your video, I will NOT be able to tape the Formals segment (which will, of course, not be included in your final video).

Before your DVD’s are shipped, you will have private password-protected access to your very own webpage with a preview of your entire wedding video. You’ll be able to email the link and login information to your friends and family for one month so that they will be able to watch your video from anywhere in the world.
