Welcome to the 2010-2011 School Year!

Fourth and fifth grades are an exciting and interesting time for students.  Success is guaranteed if we (parent, child, and teacher) approach our responsibilities with enthusiasm and commitment.  I believe that education is a team effort.  As parents, your contributions will be essential to the success of our team.  I consider you my greatest resource.  I hope that you will stay informed and involved.  As another integral part of our team, your child will be encouraged to follow through with the expectations of our classroom to create a positive learning environment.  As your child’s teacher, I will do my best to get to know and understand your child.  I will assess his/her needs and interests, provide meaningful learning experiences based on these interests and needs, and to be available for both you and your child whenever necessary.  As a team working together this year, I know we will accomplish great things!  The more effort we all put into the students’ learning, the more successful they will be.  We are partners in the education and growth of your child.  I know that with your love, guidance, and support your child will have a super year.
