Almost Frozen
 
These barns are boring as anything, except at sunset. I drive by them with some frequency, and keep telling myself, “You’ve got to come back here sometime when the sun is going down.” Well, one bitterly cold day I stopped and waited while the light changed from yellow to orange to reddish, and finally almost maroon, snapping photos along the way. The mauve colored sky, orangy cast to the dark red barns, and the azure blue and gold snow and plant stubble combined to make a “purty picture.” — Jim
