The Killer Rabbit Story
The Killer Rabbit Story

April 20, 1979: photo of Jimmy Carter whacking what he thought was a “berserk” rabbit attacking his boat. The “Killer Rabbit” story brought great ridicule on the White House at the time. For our purposes, it reveals much about the ignorance and irrationality of the former president. It also demonstrates that Carter’s instincts for self-preservation and violence have not translated into empathy for Israelis who must defend themselves against threats far more real and deadly than crazy rabbits. (See pictures below)
The name Elmer Fudd originated in 1938's "A Feud There Was", in which Egghead serves as a peacemaker to a group of feuding hillbillies, and his motor scooter identifies him as "Elmer Fudd: Peacemaker." His most popular line was, "Be vewwy, vewwy quiet, I'm hunting wabbits!"
On a more serious note, the following are pictures of the Israeli town of Sderot being bombed on an almost daily basis by rockets fired from the Palestinian territory of Gaza. This writer knows of no effort by Jimmy Carter to protest this constant, unprovoked, barbaric attack, or provide aid to its innocent victims. Is it because he can’t spread his version of Christianity by helping them? (See “Hostility to Non-Jews” for how he uses Habitat for Humanity as a vehicle for his missionary efforts.) More likely, Carter’s heart, which bleeds for every oppressed group on the planet, turns stone cold when it comes to the suffering of Jews.
